West Marin is filled with so many things to do, it would be hard to list them all. Don’t get us wrong, we are happy to spend all our days on the beach relaxing. But if you are so inclined, here are some suggestions:
- Grab a ball and shoot some hoops at the park in the middle of town. Little ones will enjoy the play structure and hopscotch
- Rent kayaks or surfboards at Stinson Surf and Kayak
- Hike one of the countless trails in the Mount Tampalpais area – Dipsea Trail is the easiest to access and is great start. www.mttam.net
- Visit Audubon Canyon Ranch and learn about the unique environment of the Bolinas Lagoon Preserve www.egret.org
- For art lovers – visit The Stinson Beach Gallery right in town for a fantastic representation of contemporary local art, with shows rotating throughout the year www.stinsonbeachgallery.com, the Claudia Chapline Gallery in Stinson Beach www.cchapline.com, Coastal Artisans in Bolinas, or any of the many galleries in Pt Reyes Station or Inverness.
- Pick up the Pulitzer Prize winning Pt Reyes Light newspaper at the Stinson Beach Market to learn about any local events. http://www.ptreyeslight.com
- Go to the Stinson Beach Library for great local information and free DVD rentals
- Drive up the coast through Inverness to Drake's Bay and eat at the Drake's Bay Cafe
